Los MTV Video Music Awards 2020 se celebran hoy, domingo 30 de agosto, a las 8:00 PM, Hora del Este. La ceremonia de premiación será transmitida completamente en vivo desde la ciudad de Nueva York por la cadena televisiva MTV.
La entrega anual de premios honra a los mejores intérpretes del año en música en una variedad de categorías, y este año, el evento será transmitido en vivo desde varias locaciones en la ciudad de Nueva York.
La celebración de este domingo honrará a los trabajadores esenciales en medio de la pandemia del Coronavirus y busca “ayudar a revitalizar la ciudad tras el impacto de la pandemia y sus medidas de cuarentena y distanciamiento físico.
En este contexto, los VMAs 2020 tendrán tres categorías especiales: “Mejor video musical desde casa”, “Mejor actuación de cuarentena” y “Héroes cotidianos: Trabajadores médicos de primera línea.”
